Surprisingly I cold turkeyed in May 2010 after 10 years of benzo’s (dr. prescribed). I didn’t feel somewhat normal until now, 13 months off. The ringing ears, sensativity to light and sound, shaking, weakness, panic attacks that are 24/7 severe, no appetite, etc, etc.. etc… almost every w/d symptom you could have… but it does get better but people NEED to be WARNED and told the truth about benzo’s.My dr. told me, stop at any time! REALLY? Did he go through my hell after? No!
@TheCandaceH I used to work in adolescent psych for 7 years in the 80′s, and the deal is to prey on the worried-sick parents, suck their insurance for as long as possible, keep the mill going, and make the already wealthy doc’s wealthier. I was cut-off of 7 years of benzo use (prescribed) May of 2010, and didn’t approach feeling normal for 6 months, and the major symptoms are still here! This “advertisement” is a joke!
It takes years to get off of benzodiazepines. It’s not a month and see ya later.
