I have a family member checking into a 3-5 day rehab program to treat alcoholism and a perscription drug addiction. I have never heard of a program this short and I am uncertainof its effectivness. Will it help?

Unfourtunatly, my mother has a severe alcohol addiction and she refuses to go to rehab volunteerely. Both my sister and dad and me agree she needs to go. Is there anything that can force her into rehab? Like. Lawsuits or something. She needs this asap becuase her short term memory is compltely shot. :s it’s sad really, but still is there anyway we can force her into alcohol rehab?

Btw: my dads is 48 me 14 and my half sister it 24

My husband has been drinking more alcohol than usual lately. He’s gotten more addicted to it. I’m trying to find an alcohol rehab for him, but I don’t know how to start. Can someone please enlighten me?

My dad already quit alcohol years ago, so it really surprised me that he started again now. I just learned this when he called me up on the phone in the middle of the night and he really sounded drunk. He admitted that he was, and this really scares me. I have a friend in Colorado that has not got a job. He has a bad alcohol problem, but no money to goo to rehab. Plain old 12 step meetings are not enough, he needs more help than that. Any help with this would be appreciated.
