There are some people who prefer to do alcohol detox at home, while there are others who prefer going to the rehab center to get the traditional treatment. There are some benefits of going to the rehab center, such as the fact that you will not be the only patient there and therefore will not feel left out. Seeing other people like you who are going through the same problems, you would be able to relate to them better and seek support from each other. Also, as there will not be alcohol around, you will be less likely to start drinking again.
But the challenge is that once you get back home, there are more chances of you falling back into your old habits. That is one reason why going for alcohol detox at home is preferred by many. This way you will learn to cope with not drinking alcohol again in your own environment, which is probably more effective than kicking the habit in the temporary environment of a rehab center.

i have a friend that has drank for most of his adult life and he refuses to get help from anyone but me. i am trying to make him some kind of plan to help him to do this thing at home on his own9 with my help of course. i am convincied that if he trys this that maybe he will decied that maybe he does need to get outside help. he is very scared and thinks that he might die if he goes to rehab or detox is there any thing out there tat you can do at home to help .
