Who needs alcohol rehab?
Alcohol rehab is the not discussed as much in the public domain as drug rehab, with stories most weeks in the press about celebrities going in to residential rehabilitation centres for drug addiction. Whilst drugs and drug rehab are discussed widely, it is in fact alcohol that is the much bigger killer. For every drug-related death, there are 10 people who die from alcohol-related illnesses, sudden death or accidents. Alcohol rehab in a residential environment is an intensive treatment method, which can stop the inevitable decline of the alcoholic towards a premature death. Whilst in alcohol rehab, other addictions are often uncovered as well and can be very successfully treated. In short, anyone with a dependence upon alcohol can benefit from alcohol rehab – you don’t have to lose everything before benefiting from specialist treatment for alcoholism.

Being aware of diseases and illnesses and what causes them is a great way of staying away from them. Today, medical costs are increasing and getting sick is an expensive business. This is one reason why people want to remain healthy. But are people ready to make some compromises to achieve this? Staying healthy involves eating the correct food in the correct amount and at the correct time, and avoiding harmful habits like alcohol and cigarettes. Health needs you to change your lifestyle as much as possible. If you think you are up to it, then rest assured; you can live an illness free and healthy life.
Because of the beverages and food items that you have been eating over the years, your body is susceptible to a number of diseases and illnesses. Even the environment around you can affect the toxin level in your body. Toxin build up happens when the toxic content goes over what the body’s natural detoxification process can handle. This kind of toxic build up causes a lot of problems for the body and this leads to sickness.

Most people who are addicted to alcohol will never agree that they need any kind of detoxification program. The strongest barrier in the addiction treatment programs is nothing but this denial phase. These people don’t understand the serious trouble in which they have been caught due to their alcohol addiction.
Alcohol addicts like to believe that they are not an addict of alcohol and having alcohol in moderation so nothing can happen to them. About 90% people stay in the denial phase and the 10% who goes for the treatment have a very few % of people who use alcohol detox treatment. But even people who have come out of their denials through a suitable intervention program will look for other options of treatment and give the detox treatment option a miss.

There are large numbers of people amongst alcohol addicts who will not want to consider the detoxification treatment for their recovery. Only 10% of the addicts get into the treatment program and come out of the addiction. The rest 90% are the ones who deny from the treatment which is a huge number. They are the people who don not want to consider that alcohol is dangerous for the health. They also do not feel the urge of proper treatment. Proper treatment should be provided come out of this condition before it too late. Most of them do not consider these treatment programs and feel the necessity of the detoxification treatment for their recovery.
Alcohol detoxification is necessary and people who have overcome their denial are now also considering other methods of treatment. Denial becomes the integral part of the alcohol detoxification. Addicted persons who are in dangerous level of alcoholism will need proper treatment to come out of the condition.

Patients who face the disease of addiction to painkillers have a few options to choose from. I will briefly touch on most of them but will focus on the 2 modalities that are mentioned above.
In my view the treatment options are divided into 3 main categories: 1-medically monitered withdrawal (i.e. detox), 2-maintenance therapy, 3-non-medicated recovery.

There\’s no better place for a bad time than home, and take it from me that treating alcoholism is a real rough ride. Alcohol withdrawals are as severe as was the urge and habit of the patient. Yes patient. A person who has given up being an alcoholic will become as weak and helpless as a hospital-admitted patient.
The very first step is acknowledging the problem and not brushing it aside with an ‘I-don\’t-have-any-drinking-problem’ retort. Once you realize and recognize that a problem exists and it must be dealt with, you will feel no shame in your alcoholism treatment at home plan. It\’s way better than a rehabilitation center.

Practiced for centuries by many cultures around the world ? including ayurvedic and Chinese medicine systems ? detoxification is about resting, cleansing and nourishing the body from the inside out. Protect from disease and renew your ability to maintain optimum health by elminating toxins.
