If he had consummed 26 ounces of liquer, how many hours does it take so there would be no alcohol in him anymore?

Over the past few years I’ve been a heavy drinker. When I stop altogether for a few days I get bags and black patches under my eyes and altogether look like crap. If I start drinking again it all goes away and I look fine.

Is this what happens when the alcohol leaves your body? How long does this last? Is it normal?

I am detoxing from alcohol today?

Anyone know any home remedies that helps stop the jitters?

How long does it take to detox from alcohol?

My husband and I have pretty much drank 4-5 nights a week not get drunk but had a couple of drinks. I’m to the point now that I want to stop. But its hard when he still is. He doesn’t put it in front of me but I can still smell it. What can I do to disconnect from this? I want to stay healthy for my family and I’ve started running 1/2 marathons and want to get into better shape for the next.

I didn’t drink every day. I would sometimes drink 2 beers and go to sleep and maybe once a week I would go out with friends and binge.

Over 30 hours ago I had a bad binge with my friends and decided this needs to stop. I had severe memory loss and am ashamed of what I did and said to a a few people. Anyway it’s been a day and a few hours and I have had some leg cramps but I am feeling ok.

When should I expect to get really sick? I’m worried about seizures because I have no health insurance to do this at a hospital. I am sitting here not sweating and not shaking. Thanks.

Patients who face the disease of addiction to painkillers have a few options to choose from. I will briefly touch on most of them but will focus on the 2 modalities that are mentioned above.

In my view the treatment options are divided into 3 main categories: 1-medically monitered withdrawal (i.e. detox), 2-maintenance therapy, 3-non-medicated recovery.
