a friend of mine is trying to quit alcohol on his own and im worried that he can possibly die from the withdrawl….not sure if i wanna watch this happen..any suggestions?

A friend of mine thinks(believes) that Juniper berries are a natural cure – He drinks Gin because of that. He says the berries combined with the alcohol helps his gout….to me, I see it as an excuse to be an alcoholic!…altho he does have gout, I’ve seen it. He tried to detox at my house and his ankle swelled up to the size of a football…he ended up taking a couple of shots of Gin and the swelling eventually went down over the next 12 hrs…So, I’m asking if anyone knows of a natural way to treat Gout – without the alcohol-?
PS: yes, I did tell him to use Gin as medicinal rather than drinking to the point of passing out.

Family member on way to rehab. She is frightened of side effects of withdrawal and wants to know if they treat with other drugs. She has tried tapering. She is an addictive personality – I’d like to get my hands on the dr. (quack) who prescribed xanax, knowing she had abused alcohol and other drugs in the past.
Her main fear of withdrawal is the rapid heartbeat and rise in blood pressure she experiences which was the rationale for the original prescription.

I’m looking for an alcohol detox program – and I prefer a place that is here in Loves Park, Illinois. My boyfriend, Matt, has an alcohol problem. It all started when his brother Joey passed away. Matt and Joey are very close – they’re partners in crime, they’re bestfriends, and they’re brothers. Joey died because of a car accident last March. Matt was supposed to pick up his brother from his dorm and drive him back home but he wasn’t able to do that because he had to play with his band at a local club. Joey came from a party and he drove his own car… well, drunk. He fell asleep while driving and he crashed into another car. Joey died during the accident and Matt never forgave himself for choosing a gig over his brother. Because of his guilt, Matt drowned himself in alcohol. After months of persuasion, I finally convinced him to undergo a detoxification program. Please help us.

Not a rehab center, I’m looking for a free detox program. The person its for has no insurance and no money, so are there any places that have a free detox program?

We tried once before, and failed. I got clean through N.A. She wont go. She has stopped Meth for 68 days and now wants off alcohol. She weights 98 lbs and drinks more than any1 person i know, so the detox is going to tough. Are thier medications her doc can give her to help? Foods? Liquids? HELP!!!

Does anyone know of any rehab programs or centers in Mumbai, India? Particularly for alcohol detox?
