I live far away from her, and what’s worse is that I did not even know she had a problem with her alcohol consumption until her bestfriend called me on the phone to ask for my help. My sister and I are really close, but she deliberately kept her addiction from me. I have already talked to her and I think she’s now willing to get herself treated. Plese tell me how I can find an alcohol rehab in her vicinity.

Okay, I have a drug test in a 2 weeks and I smoked weed around 4 days ago. I barely smoke. Maybe once a month. Thc comes out of urine right? Well what if you drank alcohol which makes you pee a lot. Would that help. I am planning to drink a lot of water, tea, and cranberry juice. Any suggestions or tips. P.S. Don’t say anything like drugs are bad or don’t smoke and bs. Everyone screws up at some time in their lives and …….. it certainly does not help abusing alcohol a strong sedative hypnotic drug as that lowers activity in the prefrontal lobe of the human brain …. We say and do things we never would before and that we truly do not mean.

Heck most of a drunks clearest memories drinking and drugging are all second-hand memories …. people cannot wait to tell the world and them what complete idiots they were.

Has anyone heard of Aboga (I think its a plant) I’ve heard it is good for helping addicts (heroin and other drugs and alcohol) to get clean. Just wondered if anyone has had any experience with it and what happened?

I am a young person who is trying to overcome an alcohol addiction. I haven’t drank any alcohol in two days now, and since than I have been really sick. I have been shaking very bad, extremely nauseous to the point of vomiting, extremely anxious, and feverish. Last night I was so miserable, and I couldn’t sleep. I know that this is called detoxing. I am doing this on my own; I am not going to any rehab places unless it is extremely necessary. I just want to know how to make myself comfortable while I detox. Is there anything that I could do to distract myself from this pain and discomfort? How long does the detox process last? If you have had experience with this, please give me some advise. I don’t know if I can handle this.

He’s 19 or 20 and has a clean record but when he was 17 he was in a mental hospital for a 72 hour surveillance. He was never involuntarily committed or committed. He was in detox the night before for alcohol and lied and said he tried drugs before. He was given sleep medication antidepressants he since stopped taking.
